Academy rooms for training are an add-on feature that is not included in your license and needs to be purchased extra:

In an academy room, up to 112 users can participate in a session at the same time. 

The main differences to the standard room are the number of users and the user management during a session. A host is appointed who "moderates" the session, manages permissions, and guides the activities e.g., by switching participants on/off, pinning certain windows, etc.



To define a new room as a training room,

Step 1: You must select the "Training room" checkbox.

  • Thereupon additional fields pop up to configure your training room:

  • Since this is an add-on function, a special training room license will be needed for you to enter. (1)

  • Please contact your admin or your personal contact at VSight for the training room license.



Step 2: Since this is an add-on function, a special training room license will be needed for you to enter. (1)


Step 3: At least one user must be assigned to the classroom. (2)


Step 4: Choose the host of the room while creating or editing a room. (3)

  • One of the assigned users must be appointed as the host. 

  • The host of the Training Room manages whole sessions and permissions. 

  • It allows experts and remote users to join the training sessions.


Step 5: Click the SAVE button.


Please note that Peer-to-Peer calls are unavailable for Training Rooms.
